Psalm 16:5

The LORD is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot.

God's Warth is Coming... Are You Ready?

You had better listen to the words of Jesus, “Not everyone who says to me Lord, Lord, shall enter, but he that does the will of my father in heaven.” If ye by the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the flesh, ye shall live. If you live after the flesh, you’ll die! The cross does not give us a minor shift or two with regard to a few of our ethical and religious values. The cross radically disrupts the very center and citadel of your life from self to Christ. And if the cross has not done that, YOU’RE NOT A CHRISTIAN! My Friend face it, young rogue, you’re not a Christian until the cross has radically disrupted the very center and citadel of your life! And brought you from a life of commitment to serve self…What are the focal points of the reign of your self? If you’ve gone to the cross in union with Christ, it’s been shattered!"

Rescue the Perishing

Rescue the perishing,
Care for the dying,
Snatch them in pity from sin and the grave;
Weep o'er the erring one,
Lift up the fallen,
Tell them of Jesus the mighty to save.

Rescue the perishing,
Care for the dying;
Jesus is merciful,
Jesus will save.

Though they are slighting Him,
Still He is waiting,
Waiting the penitent child to receive;
Plead with them earnestly,
Plead with them gently;
He will forgive if they only believe.

Down in the human heart,
Crushed by the tempter,
Feelings lie buried that grace can restore;
Touched by a loving heart,
Wakened by kindness,
Chords that are broken will vibrate once more.

Rescue the perishing,
Duty demands it;
Strength for thy labor the Lord will provide;
Back to the narrow way,
Patiently win them;
Tell the poor wand'rer a Savior has died.

My New Duty Pistol

The Caracal F Quick Sight:

This pistol was designed to be a high capacity, low recoil, fast shooting tactical weapon - and that is what it is. Probably the softest shooting 9mm I have ever used, the Caracal allows for rapid follow-up shots, especially in the quick sight (QS) configuration. The QS is is the best pistol iron sight system I have ever experienced. With a very short sight radius (the rear sight is in front of the chamber), it would appear that this would create a large amount of inaccuracy, but in practice, this is a very good and accurate system allowing for rapid sight acquisition, natural point-ability, and ease of use.

How many rounds? The Caracal comes with 2 magazines of 18rds each plus it is meant to be carried hot and ready in Condition 1 - ie, you carry with one in the pipe - for a total 37 rounds. Not bad. (Carry a backup pistol like a PF9, like I do, and you can come away with 45 rounds in just three magazines. Hopefully you'll never need it - but if you do, 45 is better than 8.) All those rounds do not sacrifice comfort though as the grip on the Caracal is narrow and ergonomic. Only problem with lots of rounds in two mags is that you can burn through ammunition like there is no tomorrow...

The Caracal is made in the United Arab Emirates and has passed both NATO and German reliability and endurance testing. This gun will put it down range when you pull the trigger. Straight out of the box, I only had one malfunction on the second round as I had improperly loaded the magazine accidentally. From there on out, she spit fire without a hiccup.

But where the Caracal really shines, is the trigger. Advertised as a 4.8 lb trigger, some have found it as low as 3.5. While I can't measure the pull on mine, the trigger is silky smooth, short reset, short pull. It could do with a slight more "clean break" for knowing when the pistol will actually fire, but it probably improves accuracy having just the smooth pull and bang! Compared to a pistol I recently sold which had a 12lb gritty pull that seemed to never end, the trigger is absolutely amazing.

Final thoughts? - get one if you can. They are in short supply in the US but are bound to become a popular pistol.
