Another cactus shot. These are really odd plants. The big question is, why are they here? If barrenness and drought are a curse, why are there plants specifically designed to thrive in dry climates? Hmm, maybe the Lord was making plants in preparation for sin and parts of the world being cursed. It does show the amazing power of God when a plant has such an amazing way of storing water for the dry spells.
Unfortunately, no I did not see any elk.
The sunset was beautiful at the camp we stayed at near the Grand Canyon.

This petrified log was at a campground we stayed at. It was nearly 5 feet in diameter and 12 feet in length.
Petrified forest out here? This shot was taken near the Petrified forest National Park.
We did not go to the park, but we did stop by the sign which was right off the highway.
