The Lord has been so good to us! We are now in Chicago, IL with all the RV's. Praise the Lord for us great protection over us over the thousands of miles we have already driven. We crossed the border into the US around 2:00 this morning (we drove through the night to get to Chicago in time). I got to see the "controlled reception" area of the US border buildings for the first time in my life. This sign on the wall meant that we were effectively detained by the border guards for a while. They had policemen guarding all the doors and we were not allowed out of the building as they searched and x-rayed our RV's. One thing was for sure - the US guys are not half as friendly as the Canadians. So much for being a US Citizen.
Well, I still have very limited time, so here are the pictures from the last while.
Taunton, MA:
As we drove north towards Maine, we had RV trouble at a very convenient place - a Firestone Repair Center in Boston, MA:
While we were there, an apparently severe storm rolled through with high winds, lightning, and heavy rain:
Then we had RV repair to finish:
This is the guilty culprit: the starter.
This is long enough, so I am going to split the pictures into a couple blog posts.
